DIL has been diagnosed with two types of cancer. The most aggressive form is in her uterus.
1st surgery was last Thursday & one ovary had burst - spreading below uterous. Surgeon removed all visible cancer, reconstructed portion of bowel & took biopsies. Minimally stage 3 & biopsies will show if stafe 4 (terminal). So far:
Recovery for 4 -6 weeks then 3 rounds of chemo (3 weeks ea).
Results of chemo will dictate 2nd surgery to remove breasts.
DIL & our son are very private people. They have recently moved & have 4 children. 2 in college close to new home & 2 in middke school. II an flying to support them today.
They requested we do not put anything on Facebook ir social media.
Excellent surgeon.
Children are aware but do not know all the details.
DIL has been in good spirits.
I am traveling tiday to support them for an undetermined amount if tine.
Son moved to IL from Ark for new position & DIL & 3 of the children just moved to join him after she completed teaching the school year two weeks ago, just before her surgery.
Please also pray for my husband Ken while I am gone.
Prayers of great thanks for three men in our life group putting some fence up for us. No hesitation from these guys. I love my life group for so many reasons! Thank you Father for always being there.
